My name is Amanda. I have two beautiful children, Michael who is 5 and Meredith who is 3. They are my life. I did a lot of soul searching after doctors found a blood clot in my leg. Not serious I know, but it put into reality that the part of my life involving having children is now done because I don't want a high risk pregnancy. I also just finished my Master's degree in Education, I have a great job, house, husband, friends.... So I sat down and thought what's next?? I will be 30 in June, and I felt like I had nothing left to accomplish. I went through a little funk over the summer, and realized that I want to loose weight that I have been carrying around since I was 14. I wanted to be the mom that did activites with their kids. As of right now, I won't even get into pictures with my kids as I am embarresed of what I look like.
So here I am! I am having my band put on February 13, 2012, and I couldn't be happier! I am so ready for this next chapter in my life, and I am glad I found lapbandtalk.com to help me through it!
