I have been on this lap band journey now for 14 months and am below my goal weight by almost 10 pounds! I am so happy I almost can't stand it! It's been quite a ride - sometimes very tough, and always a challenge, and always learning and growing. I wouldn't change a thing - I was scared at first, apprehensive and didn't know what to expect. I really had to get to know my body all over again and how to eat slow, chew more, and stick to the 1/2 cup portions sizes -- foods to avoid, what works and what doesn't, not to get too hungry so I end up eating too fast and just pay attention. I have gone from almost a size 18 to a size 4-6! Woo Hoo! So fun now to buy clothes and have my boyfriend tell me on a daily basis how HOT I am!! HAHA!! If an old lady like me can do this, all you youngsters out there can too!
