I just had surgery on 7-14-2011, and I have to go to the bathroom, but am afraid that if I strain it will cause problems for my band, has anyone else had this problem? is it safe to strain to push it out?

try a pillow or rolled towel pressed against your tummy while u push might help a bit.

I kept taking benefibre in my water until it slid right out, it only took 2 individual serving size packets to work.
