I'm only approved to take Tylenol. I think the stomach bleeding risk with NSAIDS ( a risk for anyone) is thought to be even higher when you've got the band if the med stays in the small pouch.

I know some people take them. But I get by with Tylenol and even when it doesn't work as well as ibuprofen for certain kinds of pain, I'd rather not take the chance.

My doctor said Tylenol only......which makes me sad because it doesn't work as well for me as my Aleve or Advil.

My Doctor approved Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Tylenol didn't work for me so I used Ibuprofen and it took care the pain just fine.

I take children's liquid ibuprofen when I need it. Wash it down with plenty of liquid or a protein shake..preferable milk or something a bit thicker to help coat the stomach a bit. There used to be children's chewables on the market but were taken off last year. They are supposed to be back on the shelves in the Spring, but haven't seen them yet. Tylenol doesn't do it for me. But I only take it when needed...not daily.

When I asked the PA she said it was ok to take ibuprofen occasionally for headaches and such. So that is what I still take
