My experience with North Florida Surgeons was a positive and great one. My journey began back in September of 2008.  After a single personel change last winter, my experience went from great to expectional. The offices are easy to find, beautiful, exceptionally clean and the current staff is friendly and easy to talk to. I have never waited more than 12-15 minutes for any of my appointmets and if there was ever a delay of any kind, waiting patients were always well informed. Although the pre-surgery diet instructions given by Dr. Stankard were tough, they were necessary to ensure my band placement went smoothly. I made it to my surgery date, and although slightly scared, everything wen't very smooth. My husband was pleased with the doctors account of my experience. I was in and out of the surgical suite within hours. In hospital recovery was quick and the next thing I knew Dr. Stankard gave me the clearance I needed to head home. Follow up with the offices of North Florida Surgeons has also been a positive experience. Dr. Stankard knows the lap-band, there isn't any other way to say it.....he is kind, at times down right silly, but authoratative when necessary. Given my experiences, this makes the lap-band procedure possible for all interested patients in the Orange Park/Fleming Island area, driving the distance to Baptist can be daunting. I'm very pleased that I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Stankard, he is a very skilled surgeon.
