Dr. Finelli is an excellent surgeon. I could tell that he is really a stickler for getting things right. He expected it of his staff and I felt he expected it of himself as well. He had a good bedside manner. He was warm and receptive to answering whatever questions I had. Deciding to undergo this surgery can be very scary but I really felt I was in safe hands. It's been 7 months since surgery and I didn't experience any complications during the procedure or after. I would definitely recommend Dr. Finelli and his staff at Washington Hospital Center. Also, his patient coordinator and nurse Kenny Alexander was invaluable. He knew exactly what I needed to submit to the insurance company and he was great about getting all of my paperwork to them and getting approval the first time. All and all, they made the process of having this surgery very easy to understand and get accomplished.

Greetings,If I had to rank my surgeon on a scale of 1-10, I would easily give him a 9. That would be based on the personalized relationship that he builds with his patients, the patience that he expresses with personal concerns, his ability to comfort patients and his over all skills and experience. I would recommend Dr. Finellifor anyone considering the lap band but is scared to take that first step. I am currently 5 days post op and I am felling pretty good. I unfortunately did suffer complications post op due to other underlined pre-existing conditions but I thank God that all of that was controllable.
