We did ok...lots of tree limbs to pick up and power failure for a few hours but all in all...we did fine...I haven't walked in several days, I had my surgery to fix my port and am moving around the house but I haven't ventured out to a serious walk or the gym yet...as soon as i get an ok from the doc, i'll be off and running...thanks for checking on me
hello, hope your doing well, the pre op diet was give and take i was not prefect but the doc did not complain the port pain is more sore then anything you will not really notice it just a little annoying pull more then anything i took advil gell caps walking is the key like it or not please walk at least 15min a day that is what gets the gas out if feels like knots of pain you may not feel like walking but do it any way i have to go but keep me posted i am doing ok problem with my band being to loose so i have to do diet pills for 30 until it heals so they can fill my port
The surgery went well and I'm doing ok.
I took about two weeks off from work. I was going to back early but I'm letting my co-workers actually work. LOL
mine is VERY strict! Its liquids only!!! I can have sugar free jello and popsicles, I bought popsicles and they are only LOW sugar :( So I'll have to save them and eat them later or something, I can have 3 cups of yogurt a day, and can only drink crystal light/water. No real foods pretty much... :( Its really hard!! I go for my pre-op testing at the hospital tomorrow, I'm not even sure what they are gonna do... hmm, should be fun, keep me posted :) !!!
Yup.... It wouldn't have been that bad, except I'm still in the process of re-doing my room, and today I spent the whole day painting, so I was climbing up and down the stool and painting and working up a sweat and by dinner time my head was pounding and I could barely see straight! SO I caved a little and had a little egg substitute for dinner. It was my first day so I don't think weeing myself into it slowly is a bad idea. How are you doing???? Only 9 days now!!! AHHH!
iam just feeling better. i have not went to doc, yet don't kno how much i lost, but i can tell iam doing well. l can still eat what i want just not much of it. I wasn't to happy a couple days ago but all is well now. There is some uncomfortable port pain i just take advill gels they work just fine sleep is crazy i had surgery on my right shoulder 2mo's a go and my port is on the left but i am working with it when is your date? i pray you don't get nausea &gas as bad a me thanks for the advice chat with you soon
Hi! Just got off a 36 hour work day. I work as a contractor testing radios in HMVEES, tracks and tanks. Thank goodness I get to leave on Monday. I went to my appt and doc says I'm a candidate. I have my pysch eval on June 3 and I have to do a sleep study. What is the pysch eval all about? Hope you are doing great! I need some sleep! Take care! Ciao!
this is not a cake walk that's 4sure! i have questioned my decison one to many times, but i kno no pain no gain this gas is the worst i can't seem to get rid to it. any suggestions

It has been an exciting time for me with all of the life changing events we have experienced in the last 4 weeks. I have just been told from the Dr.'s office that it will now be the end of July if I am lucky before I am rescheduled. That is another 2 months. All becasue of an infection in my jaw that I am sure I would be cleared for in time for my original date of next week. God is great! I could have been in surgery this morning. The doctor offered to move my date up to today because he had an opening. I wanted to with all of my heart, but my wonderful husband said "we have vacation this weekend and you wouldn't be able to go". I said that was ok and he sure didn't like that. My new friend Andrea and I have started walking at least three miles everyday. She is holding me to it quite well.
