Hi blue nurse: Hope I'm not being nosy but I am really looking for some guidance/encouragement and it's off the topic of LB. From the looks of your name it looks like you are a nurse age 56 who wears a blue uniform? Is this true? If so Im 49 and thinking of taking a LPN course next year and just wondering if I'm nuts or if you think being an lpn in NY/LI is a good idea? I'm still not sure about the lpn vs. nurse issue and if they really are being phased out. thanks!
Hey girl!! Thanks for the great conversation the other day! It calmed me and even though the wedding was all I thought it would be, it made it a little better.
I am so sick and tired of everything I eat being questioned by everyone that knows I have the band, are you supposed to be eating that? Did they expect that I would stop eating entirely? I was told from the start, the "no" foods, pasta, bread, potatoes, rice. But then I see people on here that are eating those things. My husband said, this is nothing more than the atkins diet. He thought the whole point of the band was to decrease portions, no matter what you ate, thus, weight loss. I have tried to explain to him that in light of portions size being small, I have to choose proteins to keep my hair from falling out, and my organs and muscles from suffering, but I still don't think he gets it. If I were single for awhile, this might be easier.
yes since 1/28 i am happy i was banded due to the fact i want to maintain and improve my health people say i look rested and look good u needto think positive
Hi blue,
I am a nurse also, I do home health in Fla, and I do love it. SO, have you been banded? I keep looking for encouragement, I know the band is only a tool to help lose, but I have so many expectations, and high hopes. I see that ppl have erosion and get rebanded. I don't know what I would do if it didn't last. I am so short, 4' 10", and weigh 193. I want to get to get down to 120. I am 48 y/o plz write back. anavrin
