Hi Jersey girl, How are you. I am sorry I havent been intouch. I was just thinking of you and thought I would send a text.
How have you been doing since your surgery? Have you had a fill?
I have been doing well. down to 215 . My weight has been slow but steady. I am trying to exercise more now...hoping that will help.
I may call Dr Strom's office soon for my second fill.
I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather.
Let me know how you are doing.

Hi girl! Sorry it's been so long. I swear I haven't forgotten you. How the heck are you? I bet the pounds are melting off!! Things have been so crazy with the kids and work I haven't had time to even check out LBT. Saw my doc Friday and got my first fill(0.5cc added to my 1.8cc) He said that was great for a 9.75cc band. Feel restriction so thats good. How about you? Any fills or problems? Hope all is well in the land of the thinning!!!!!!
Hey Jersey,
It has been a little bit how is it going? I was banded two weeks ago and I am walking and everything, but my clothes fit me better before i got surgery no they are tight and I dropped 18lbs and still tight how about you how long before you noticed a difference
Well, It looks like we're one line again at the same time. How funny! Just got home from work-ugh. I didn't want to tell anyone at first, but then it got awkward. I guess just for me. I did ask that it wasn't 'broadcasted" though. I don't know what I was thinking we are hairstylists for crying out loud-lol! I have found that how much I've lost is the topic of conversation as soon as I walk into the salon. It is hard because ther are some of my clients I don't want to go over this with. I, like you, feel like it's personal. But then, there are times that I feel like my life and apperance is under close inspection by my clientele. I know what you mean by not wanting all the attention. I've lost 17 pounds since my initial consultation. I feel great! How much have you lost? It's funny how much I feel like I can relate to so many people on this site. I didn't want to tell everyone in my family and thought that I had made that QUITE clear, but same situation as at the salon. People love to talk!!! Oh well that's enough of a book for now. lol. Take care and keep me posted on all your wonderful progress.

Hey Honey!! We are on line at the same time. I'm feeling wonderful!!!! Everyday gets better!! Yes.. I do have the rumbling, but it has slowed down tremendously!! Thank god, cuz it got ridiculous. Boys are doin fine... I really didnt share the procedure too much w/ my family... I told my mom, dad & sister, but no one outside the immediate family. Just feel this is a private thing. I don't want people gawking at me every time I pick up something to eat. I never told my husbands family, cuz they are like news reporters~!! LOL The people at work know I had it done, and they guys are already making comments.. Like omg.. We can tell already that you have lost weight!! (kinda annoying) and saying things like i'm gonna leave my husband once i'm thin.. which is sooo left field, not even funny. I know they are being nice and all, but I dont like the attention. (especially from the guys at work) How about you??? Did you tell your family??? How much are you down since surgery??? Please do tell!
Hi Lucy!! How are things going for you? Still have your loud friend rumbling? Mine is starting to slow down a little. My energy is back. It's so nice. I am feeling like myself again. Sitting with the family at dinner is getting easier an easier. I LOVE IT! I am sooo glad I had this done. How are your boys doing with all this action? I bet everyone is super proud of you. Anyway, take care...Chat with you soon!

Hey there! How are you feeling? I felt great yesterday. Think I may have overdone it today though. Don't know, gas pains are back in a mad way. My stomach is constantly twisting, turning, and rumbling. So wierd. My husband has been amazed at our new LOUD friend lol. Are you back to work yet? How are you tolerating the liquid faze? I've found sitting down to dinner with my broth and my family eating normal to be extremely hard. Oh well it'll be over soon. RIGHT? Hope this finds you in great spirits!

Great new Lucy. Are you able to exercise at all? I have 5 weeks till surgery and have told myself I will walk 3 miles per day (except Sundays) until surgery. I have done that so far. Like you said it is something you just have to do. Speedy recovery.-Donita
Feeling wonderful!! Down 43lbs and Wearing size 12 Jeans!!! Finally noticing the weight loss. People are noticing.. and it makes me feel good. It's been 8 months since I stopped smoking, My cholesterol has dropped from 257 to 191!! It's now considered NORMAL! I even had a halter monitor on for 24hrs, and the results have improved since prior to surgery! This has all been worth it!! I do have some pain once in a while where the band is located. I think it's more of a spasms then anything. I also...
Got my first fill today!! I was nervous as heck! I must say, it wasn't painful at "ALL" Just a lil pinch, and thats it. I just was freaked out because the Dr. was pushing on my port site to find it, and the thought of the needle going it and the pushing.. .just was freaky!!! LOL I gotta say, this all has been such a wonderful experience over all! I'm sooo happy! 22lbs down.. and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be. I'm not saying you don't have to work at it, but...
Went to see the surgeon today, first actual post-op visit. It went pretty quick. He sniped some of the Sutures that didn't dissolve and we went over a few of my concerns. One was that I have bad chills at night. I don't have a fever, so I don't know where they are coming from. He advised me to see my cardiologist, maybe I need to have my meds reduced because of the weight loss. I also needed to know when can I start walking on my treadmills again, and he said immediately.. Just no INCLINE!!!...
1 1/2 weeks Post -Op and I'm feeling wonderful!!! Neck pain, shoulder pain is almost completely gone!! I picked off 4 out of the 5 incisions tapes I had on my stomach.. I'm too afraid to peal off the biggest bandage. But over all, I'm very happy. I know the weight loss will be slow, and I'm trying not to weigh myself everyday, but it does feel good to look down, and another pound.. gone! I'm still on liquids, even though my Dr. told me I can go on mushies.... I guess I enjoy my current menu... Sounds...
Finally Banded!! I must say, I'm in alot of discomfort. Surgeon had to repair a Hiatal Hernia, that I wasn't aware that I had, so that could be why I'm takin a little longer to recover. I have pain that comes and goes in my upper front shoulder... I'm told that is the gas, and it will take a while. I'm tired, and finding it difficult to take in all my water and protein drinks. Trying my best.. and taking it easy. Unable to lay in my bed, but I am finding comfort in my recliner. I'm sooo glad...
