My mom knows and that's it. I hope she doesn't feel pressured to keep this a secret even though I explained to her this is my life and my decision and I should make the decision to tell. Sometimes people are placed in situations where they slip and you wish you didn't have to tell anyone at all, but you do have to have someone with you for the surgery so someone has to know. -
My largest incision has turned into a keloid, and on my next visit, I am going to find out what I can do about it. It's now hard, so I don't think anything topical will work. I may have to have it removed. I had one removed on my ear a few years ago, and it has not grown back -
I've seen Greatglam.com and they do have some fierce items. They have some plus sizes too.
I used to like NY& co, so I think I will hit there again. Luckily many designers have a plus size collection.
Except for Vikie's which may be a good thing -
I just don't like to get dressed. I don't like to be around people. People take it personally and add to my stress. They don't understand that I just don't feel comfortable doing the things they want to do and I don't want people to see me at this size. It's hard. I think they take it personal, but they have to understand. It is what it is. I can only be me and feel what I feel. -
Anything Patrice Russin, Midnight Star, Starpoint, Renee and Angela, Roger, too many to mention. Those songs were so great and still are to this day. Okaaaay! -
I am in love with the man from Jennifer Hudson's spotlight video. If only I knew his name. -
I'm gald you said that now I don't feel to bad about also wanting to keep my surgery private.
I am 32, from Pennsylvania and have been engaged for years. lol.
I work in the legal profession.
I have been banded for a year, and not until my recent fill has the weight been melting off. I have kept my surgery private with the exception of a few people, because I have found people to be so judgmental. People have noticed the weight loss, so I just blame it on weight watchers. lol.
I'm hoping to be swimsuit material by next summer -
Okay Jack, I did it and it wasn't that bad at all. I had 2cc's put in. I'm well on my way -
Welcome Shelia, Enjoy, we're glad to have ya -
I will be banded 9-5-08 and my 42nd birthday is 9-10. What a great gift.

Hello Ladies, My name is Sheila, 45yrs old, married and G.R.I.T.S. I will be banded on 9-8-08, praise God. I am so excited that I found, Girlfriends. So before I am banded, some one please pass the neck bones, few of 'em feet, slice of cornbread, greens and that bottle of hot sauce. Sheila -
Hello Ladies,
I have yet to be banded (Sept 17th is my date! ) I was just wondering if anyone had any good complete mutivitamins they were taking that were chewable or liquid ? I've been shopping and haven't really found much. Also, I've heard that in the days after surgey it becomes very difficult to get that reccommended daily protein amount (60 grms for women) from things like meats and cheese. I've heard of protein bullets which have about 46 grms of proteins per bullet. But these are somewhat expensive (about $90-$100 for a month supply.) Anyone having much luck with anything else ? -

sorry you are having issues just remind yourself slow downnn.eat softer foods and chew slowly it is something that takes practice yes your band can slip but alot of people throw up i think excessive harsh vomitting makes the band slip. remember after you vomit dont go back to eatting as your stomach and gag reflex are already in action, let them rest for a while and remember the band rules it will get easier i used to eat bites the size my one year old would eat with her own spoon that is a safe way to measure. -
hey
god bless on the surgery date it is not too bad of a surgery being as i have had 2 c sec,lap gallbladder removal and hand surgery.i have 4 children but 1 alive so i know how you feel about god's hand tehy are better than ours even when it is hard to accept but anyway yes greens are easy to go down my favorite being mustards, chinese you can eat the meat and the veggies most of the time they are tender enough, just dont eat the ones with the sweet sauce often. it is good to love yourself i am sure you are not conceited. you will be fine it is hard work but so worth it i have lost 86 lbs so far and am a size 14 at 200. lbs and wore a long fitted dress to a wedding last week when i looked in the mirror i had to say damnnnnnnnn to myself.anyhoo ha ha that was funny. this thread always cracks me up i am sooo happy we have put to gether something just for us sisters. -
congrats, it does make you feel good. i just renewed my license too,my old one was a picture of me 4 months pregnant and weighing approx 280 when i am preg my nose spreads east and west and it had just spread so although happy to be having baby i was not happy with my picture.this new one i weigh 200.0 pds after losing 86 lbs so i am happy. how long did it take you to lose 125lbs? i am proud of you i know it is difficult,i am hoping to get to a total lose of 135 pds but i cant wait until i see a loss of 125pds as i am only 5'3. i will be fine as wine. -

The shake isn't that bad. I'm gonna hang in there in anticipation of my September 2nd surgery. Thank God!!! | Hey hun, you getting banded the day after me! woooo! So what medifast then..? The same thing happened to me, but they told me this on the day i got approved. Since I didn't meet my out of pocket, they said that i had to pay the doctor $700, the hospital $2400, and about $190 for the anesthesiologist. The 700 for the doctor, I had to pay on my appointment that I had the Friday before my sugery. the hospital wanted a downpayment the day of surgery and they would bill the rest along with the fee for the anesthesiologist. Everything is really expensive, I told myself that I will be living like a college student again for awhile. One good thing is right now i can't eat that much so i dont have to spend that much money on food. |
