    I agree tapshoes. We are trying to lose weight for life, not for a year or two.

    Unless you want to drink the shakes for the rest of your life, I wouldn't think you should substitute them for meals, especially becuase they go through the band and you are still hungry.

    And I HATE being hungry DAMN IT!

    Wow, you have inspired me--that is an awesome weight loss! I was banded Feb. 12th, but I am just about to reach 40lbs lost. I did not have any restriction until after my 3rd fill--since then it has been steady. Isn't it great to see those numbers pop up on the scale that you haven't seen in a long time!

    Hi Melissa! Sounds like you're doing really great! Good job! I was banded 2/8/08 and slowly making my weigh down! Down 52 pounds now and 4 sizes! Glad to have you on this forum!! Good luck and keep going the way you are! You're doing fantastic!!

    Hey Babedoe..Dr. Schulman is on the reconstructive site and has his own thread..if you read the whole thing there is LOADS of info he gives and he even has links to look at before and after and gives a description on what is what! He is in New York..and I'll tell you..If I could get to him I would but alas..I'm in the midwest and cannot afford to be up there for the amount of time it would take for all that needs to be done..it's really a good thread! Check it out!
