ABC- it really sounds like you might be too tight- I had the same symptoms you are experiencing and was too tight. My scale seems to be mad at me too =( -
What is Sugar Buster's diet? What do you eat? Never heard of this one!! I must be behind times? Is it hard to follow? I'm not real good at sticking to diets. I've been on yo-yo diets most of my life. I have Type II diabetes,RA,Hypertension, and high cholesterol. I've had GERD in years past. I don't take meds. I have occasional heartburn, but recently I've had lots of bloating, belching, and gas. How do you take medications after lap band surgery? I currently take 18 pills a day. Yuk!! I hope with the surgery I can come off some of them. -
Yes.I know it has been a while since I have posted. But I am back now so I need to do some major catching up. -
I went through the same - pity party life sucks thing at the beginning of this year (search the posts, its there)... I know where you are coming from... Food is my comfort and now PB'ing is my friend when I try to make food my comfort cuz it hurts so bad. Anyways, We are here for you if you need us! I will pray for you.
It will get better. -
I am in Dublin which is East South East of WR. -
Elizabeth is gone. Leslie replaced her a couple months ago, but she is awesome. -
Too bad slim fast doesn't make a protein shake. I like their shakes at least the carb control ones. They were pretty good. -
all victories, ladies! way to go! (Leslie, I especially liked yours...what fun!)
I tried to post this earlier, so if it doubles up on me, please forgive, but -
I had a NSV today, too. I was forced to eat fast food for lunch - which I never do - and I was good and ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a fruit parfait at McD's, only to have them give me FRIES in my bag in addition to my order! McDonald's fries are crack to me - I normally cannot resist them. Well, I didn't totally resist them today. I ate two, then drove around the block of my office twice trying to find a familiar face to give them to. There are usually tons of guys around, but none today! So, I had to drive around the block again to find the trash can, but I THREW THEM OUT! Then I went to my office and took the bread off the sandwich and ate the chicken and yogurt for lunch!
Whoo Hoo, Me! not perfect, but I say it counts. -
You all look so good. I am so proud of all of you, What insprirations you have all been! When I get ready to give up I come back to these pages look around and get my head on straight. Thanks for keeping it up! -
I usually eat 3 meals a day and sometimes have snacks, but not always. A typically breakfast for me is either a protein drink or yogurt. The protein drink is a new thing lately with me trying to get in more protein. Sometimes I'll have a South Beach or Kashi bar mid morning (again, trying to get the protein) but that isn't always. Lunch is different things. Sometimes a salad, sometimes some luncheon meat and cheese. I guess I'm probably eating about a cup but I could eat more than a cup a few times this week (salad and a panini, although the panini was small). I sometimes need a small snack in the afternoon if I'm working out. Dinner I know I'm not overeating, although I could eat spaghetti (small portion) with bread this week...something I probably couldn't have done two weeks ago. I am pretty good with drinking my water and I don't drink with meals. Occasionally, I may take a small sip but that is rarely, if ever. I don't snack in the evenings either. That's something I've never done...even preband.
I'll probably go to the appointment and just see what they think. I usually make several appointments at one time, but I don't have one coming up after the one on 10/1, so I'm due to make some others. -
Sheryl - you're doing better than me. I'm more - but it's complications from a medical problem I've had...I'm being stubborn and refuse to change my numbers. I know I'll get caught up by Halloween. I hope that I'll be down a few more too! A loss is a loss girl...:-) -

Paragirl,
You and your family are in my prayers. I wish I had wise words to offer you that could fix your situation. Do you have a "mediator" or someone in your family (or his) who can intervene (sp?) on your children's behalf. Someone who might be able to talk to him alone with out the new wife around...... -
Pamela - I spoke to Leslie (OTC) about my water intake last week when I had my fill. She said 100 was a bit high - to shoot for around 80. I've been getting in anywhere between 64-80. Not always counting, but drinking most of the day (between meals). She said if you drink too much it can flush out your kidneys. Obviously that's a bad thing. ;-) -

I have a ton of clothes in size 24 (with a few 22's) if anyone needs this size! Most are nicer work clothes (dress pants, blazers) or two-piece pants suits. There are a few casual outfits (capris, short, jeans) and some casual shirts as well. If anyone would like these, PM me. I boxed them all up last night and they are in my attic until I find a good home for them. If nobody takes me up on them in the next month or so, I'll just donate them to Goodwill. There are some nice pieces in here! -
Yaya, I'm so glad you have joined the gruop. I live in Perry and I'm a grandmother, too. I would love to meet you.

I used Dr. Angstadt and his partner is Dr. Whipple. They are both good and have a lot of experience. I hope you have good luck with the change. I have moved away from Savannah and the nearest Dr. here will not take other surgeons patients. I hope I can find one and not drive 4-5 hours to Savannah for fills. Best wishes! -
Thanks Les! Right now, I can definitely feel restriction, even being on liquids. I think that's a pretty good sign. It's exciting to think that maybe I have finally hit my sweet spot after all this time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.... |
