Hi Everyone! I'm so glad that you're all here to talk to! I was set on a 6 month weigh-in program for my insurance approval - and my last one will be January. It's so nice to read everyone else's posts and know that my feelings are normal. I'm worried about being denied, not being able to eat like I always have, not being able to slow my chewing down enough to be healthy.. and on and on.

Yeah, I am eating better! Staying away from "Super size it!" Although, I am really bad on the weekends when, I don't want to cook!!! I am eating more chicken, salads and no sugars.

Greetings people in waiting! I am right there with you all. While waiting, what is everyone doing, are we praticing our new eating, eating our last large meals, dreamimg of goals? I am finding myself dreaming of goals and feeling bigger! LoL, maybe I am too anxious.

I agree about the waiting! I am waiting for the insurance approval. Tuesday will mark two weeks. They said to allow two weeks. We shall see!!! p/s who is everyone planning to get banded by?

Oh by the way how did the appointment with the surgeon go Lilith?

I know the waiting is the worst isn't it. I've finished the six months in August, 08. The surgical group that I am going to have the surgery with as a couple of mandatory meetings to go to before you get an appointment with the surgeon. My 2nd meeting is coming up on Nov. 21 then I don't get to see the surgeon until Dec. 22. I wish we could move a little faster. But I guess I'm looking at surgery in Jan or Feb. But we'll see.

Hi! I have my appointment with the surgeon on Nov. 7th, I'm really nervous to see what he says. I just started my 6 month supervised diet on Oct. 6th so the earliest I'll have my surgery is April... blah.

So the other day I called the hospital where I am to have the surgery done, just to find out how long before the actual surgery might take place. She told me that it's usually around 3 months after the first appointment with the surgeon. For me that's in December, so I'm not looking at surgery until what Feb or March. Oh how frustrated I feel. I just wish I could get this going ya know. Well thanks for hearing my rant. Hopefully you all have better news to share.;)

Hello all fellow wanna be banders lol. I am at the stage of waiting and more waiting. I live in San Joaquin County had have Health Net HMO with Hills Physicians Medical Group. So far I have seen a nutritionist for 6+ mo, been cleared by psychologist, had a sleep study done and attended my first seminar which is required by the hospital who my med group goes through(Alta Bates in Oakland) I have been approved for the consultation with the surgeon by my med group and all of the paperwork has been turned in to precede. I have been scheduled to go to the 2nd class in November and finally get to see the surgeon in December. I am so frustrated with all of the waiting man I am going nuts here. I know that it doesn't happen over night but gee I wish it could go a little faster. So far since I started this whole ordeal I have last 15 lbs. I need to focus on eating better and exercising.
