I had to buy some new pants this weekend. My work pants were way too baggy. My jeans were so big I was stepping on them so I had to buy some. My sister called them my ganster jeans.
My knees don't hurt anymore. Yippee!

I bought a pair of 14 jeans from Walmart...just waiting to be able to wear them. My 16s look silly, but the 14s don't jive with my butt. Ugh. BUT, I tried on my old pair of leather pants that are 14s and good heavens...I LOVE those things. I haven't put them on since about 2000 and then I've never gotten to wear them out of the house. They fit on me, they zip, I'm able to move around and don't feel like anything's getting cut off. But they are too tight to wear out of the house, yet. I'm just THRILLED I got them on. Those things are hot. DH was panting. LOL
This is a SV, but I'm finally OVERWEIGHT. I celebrated with a nice massage and a great new haircut and color. I look like a totally different person.
I FINALLY got my first compliment from somebody that didn't know I was trying to lose weight. She was AMAZED at how different I look and she said she almost didn't recognize me. She said I looked FABULOUS and she bet I felt a whole lot better, too. That felt really good to hear. Nobody else but my mother and husband have said anything about how I look. :(

We're looking in the same direction for NSVs, Steph! I have a suede skirt that I got about four years ago when I lost a significant amount of weight. I gave all my big clothes to my sister who was also losing weight but started off bigger than me. Then she gave them back and I got my beloved skirt back, though it, of course, didn't fit. After my experience last week with another skirt that I had never worn being three inches too big in the waist, I thought maybe I'd try my suede skirt. I was fully expecting that it wouldn't fit but it fit perfectly! It's a true size 16 and being suede, doesn't give a centimeter but it doesn't need to!
This weekend, I'm going through my closet again. I need to get rid of the things that are too big and bring in a few things that used to be too small. I'm looking forward to it!

It sounds beautiful. I love different fabrics for clothing - they're so fun. Work that skirt, woman!

Ah, the closet. Well, I had a huge surprise. I went through all the clothes I'd saved from losing weight 5 years ago or so. I can get into my fat skinny jeans, if that makes any sense - the smallest jeans I got into - which makes absolutely no sense because I'm 20 pounds heavier now than I was then.
The NSV that makes me smile is I can go up and down the stairs without making them creak.

I'll probably send mine to the people hit by the Arkansas tornadoes.

People are starting to notice. My neighbor stopped me last week to ask if I'd lost weight. She struggles with her weight too so I told her about the surgery and she said she has been thinking about. She saw me again yesterday and said I was really looking HOT!
A male friend at work asked me about it this morning. He said I was getting hotter by the minute!
I am so glad people are noticing.

I had a somewhat sad NSV. For me at least.
I can not wear my wedding band or my college ring anymore. They just simply fall off. I took a lot of pride in wearing both of those rings and now I can't. I am now wearing a James Avery ring. Its a silver band that is just temporary 'till I can get to a final weight and get my other rings resized. This is what my new ring looks like.

I don't know if they make them for mens rings tho, But you could ask any jewlery store....

Previously mentioned jeans - I can pull them up or down without undoing the button or zipper!
