Yay! I got another fill last week and seem to have leapt off my 3-month plateau. I hit the 50 pound mark!!! I'm almost halfway done. The turtle inches forward!!!

LOL. Oh Scarecrow, that is a picture that my husband drew of me. He is the same one who gave me the nickname "foofy" (which he also put on my license plate).

For my birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine's Days, he writes me ridiculously goofy poems and illustrates them with the crazy bunny. Sometimes the bunny (me) is doing something productive - like painting, hiking, or working out. Other times the bunny is having a "bad day". The bunny has even been known to carry a lit stick of dynomite in its paw. It's fun reading the poems years later, because I am reminded of whatever was going on in our lives at the time. I have had this shape for so long, it will be hard for dear hubby to learn to draw a skinny bunny.

LOL, Foofy! I love it! That's so cute. I've wondered about it, but it didn't occur to me to ask. LOL I'm easily distractable. He's gonna have to learn to draw a skinny bunny, soon! Here...tell him this is you and he should get started right away:

Ooh la la! I certainly would be happy with that shape.

Funny thing, when he got me the surprise license plate, he said that if "Foofy" was taken, he would have gotten me "S.Bunny" - for Snuggle Bunny. You may recall that Bugs Bunny's mailbox says "B. Bunny".

It's hard enough having "Foofy" on my plate. I got a speeding ticket, and the judge laughed so hard that I thought he was going to pee. He did cut my ticket in half though....

Friends, I am checking in. By this time, most of us will have celebrated our bandiversaries,and I congratulate all of you on your challenges faced and conquered, and subsequent success. Me personally, I've been slacking. I've been REALLY enjoying the period of "needing a fill." I have gained two pounds since Halloween (that's BEFORE Thanksgiving!!), which settles me as of this week to 6 pounds lost since July 31. Yikes. I'm getting another fill on 12/11. My first and major goal is to get to 160, and even though I'm pretty content at 172-174, I really think I oughta make a push to just Get There.
So, hopefully my fill on Dec. 11 will give me the push I need. Admittedly, it will be weird to rein in my diet again, as I've really been enjoying the ability to eat WHATEVER I want without getting stuck or having problems. The only barrier I have is what I've come to call my "15 minute warmup." It's the first couple of bites of the meal don't go down quite nicely, so I have to wait about 10 or 15 minutes to get into it, then I can eat. It's weird, I guess, but I've gotten use to it, and so have my friends.
So, when I get my fill on 12/11, maybe I can be at 160 by March. I think that's a good goal....

I'm truly impressed with anyone that can post a weight loss this week.

I've had two setbacks. The first was re-starting my hormone patch. The hot flashes were debilitating, having them all day and all night, so I caved and put on a patch and promptly gained three pounds. The patch messes with fluid retention and blood sugars ( which was why I was trying hard to avoid them).

Then Thanksgiving and my b'day came! We went to Las Vegas, our daughter lives there, for the holiday and ate and drank and basically enjoyed ourselves, a lot!

So I find myself with an additional three pounds to lose.

So I am up six pounds! I hope I am back on track. I am watching what I eat and walked today (I did not walk while we were away).

Oh yeah, and I pulled the patch off as soon as I weighed myself! Bracing myself for the return of the hot flashes! LOL!

Man, it's been quiet around here....

I'm STILL at 172. Got a fill last Thursday, haven't lost a pound yet.

These Holiday Treats are KILLING me, but I'm REALLY trying.

12 pounds from goal.....ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh I wonder if I'll ever make it.

It would help if I went running again. I hate Standard Time! It gets dark *way* too early!!!!! And this cold weather!!! Listen to all these EXCUSES!
