That is very sad news Kendra. I don't think anything I say is going to help you right now. I just hope that they can slow it down for you. Please keep us posted on what the specialist says and as I said before if you need anything please let me know. Sending you lots of good energy and love. xxx

Kendra,
Very long tiring day for you. I feel terrible you have to eindure this and at the same time so glad you went to the GYN initially when you had the bleeding. I think I'm due in April to go for a Pap and I will be sure I don;t skip this year. I'm sure many of the November Ladies will do the same.
I wish I had magic words to say to help, I just don't. Praying for you.

Kendra,
I'll say it - this totally sucks!! It's a testament to your incredible strength that you are so calm and collected. You obviously have the kind of strength that will carry you through anything. And it will. God bless.

Kendra,
You are welcome to stay at my house when you go to M.D. Anderson. I live in Willis, north of Conroe, if you know where that is. Let me know if you would like to do that, anytime.
Bobbi Mark 11:24 – Therefore I say unto you, What things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Kendra,
FYI - MD Anderson is about a one hour drive (60 miles) from my house.

Kendra,
I am truly sorry that you are having to deal with this. You and your family are in my prayers. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. It sounds like your doctors are being aggresive and that is great.
I have been putting my pap off for quite some time but I now realize how important it is to stay on top of annual exams. Thanks for sharing your situation with all of us.
You are such a strong woman and I know that you will beat this. When you are feeling down come here and we will help. It is so important to keep your spirits up during this difficult time.
Love,
Jill

Your comments and support mean so much to me! I'm sorry I can't respond to each one separately but I'm pretty tired. I just got back a little while ago from teaching and I'm ready to go to bed. But I had to let you know that I am reading your replies and they give me a great boost!
Bobbi: What a kind offer! I know exactly where Willis is because my sister used to live there. My mother lives in Spring so I'll be staying with her but you're the greatest! They're still working on the appointment -- it's looking like it might not be until Monday but I'm prepared to go at a moment's notice. If I don't go there Friday, I'm getting the ultrasound of my breast Friday afternoon. Let's hope it's just those pesky cysts.
I wanted y'all to know that the cancer that I have cannot be detected on a PAP test. But by all means, get your annual test because other types of cancer can be detected on the PAP.
I finished my radiation therapy today and will go back for four more over two days in two weeks. My radiological oncologist told me today that he believes my cancer is curable.
Here's one way y'all can help me. A friend suggested I visualize a cowboy boot, complete with spurs, kicking the crap out of the tumor. I've decided to visualize a horde of people, similar to the numbers in Braveheart, all dressed in cowboy boots, surrounding the tumor and kicking and stomping! So if y'all will join me, just give a kick every now and then, even if it's just in your mind and you don't own cowboy boots. (I live in Texas and I don't have any. )
Thanks again! I haven't had time to post anywhere else and I know I'm probably missing out on NN news but I'll get caught up in the next few days, I hope. I've lost a few more pounds, too. I haven't had much of an appetite.
I love y'all!
Kendra

Heck of a way to lose weight, Kendra! Your radiologist gave you great news. Keep focusing on the positive and you will "kick" this thing where it hurts! Love the imagery. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking. I do own a pair of cowboy boots that I bought in Fort Worth, Texas when I went there with my husband on a business trip. What a fun town! I think just us silly tourists went around in cowboy boots and cowboy hats. Where else could we get away with that? Dallas was great to visit too. I'll help you kick that tumor to dust starting right now. You stay strong and keep on kicking!

I could have my first treatment by the end of the week. I'll know more when I consult with the doctor tomorrow morning.
I'm doing fine. I'm a little tired, probably due to stress, but I'm not uncomfortable and I taught my class this evening. Apparently, the cancer treatment diet is similar to the band diet -- six small high-protein meals a day. I'll talk to Dr. Ganta after I know more but I may not need to get the band unfilled. I'll probably lose weight a little more quickly, though, since my taste buds will likely be off.
I appreciate the positive thoughts, support, and prayers from all of you lovely people who have never even met me! And I'm not going anywhere, either. We're still band sisters and brothers! Thanks! | Kendra:
I am sad to hear the news was not good, however let me tell you that my sister was diagnosed last year at this time with stage 3 breast cancer and it was in her lymph nodes and she had a double mastectomy and went through radiation and chemotherapy and she is 55 and she is cancer free as we speak. So do not give up on this, you can beat it!! We are all here for you, you are a strong Lady and have been a great inspiration to all of us here in the November Nymphs, you have my prayers and my love sending down your way there in Texas...Hugz sweetie!!

Good to hear it is curable Kendra and my boots are certainly made for kicking, so I'm right behind you there.

I hope you gave that oncologist a big wet sloppy kiss!
I live in Montana and have three pairs of cowboy boots and lots of friends with boots. We will be "Kicking the Crap out of Kendra's Tumor!"

I heard someone else say they imagined Pac man eating the cancer cells, but I love the cowboy boots.
In my mind, Mine are red, with metal pointy toes and I am kicking the crap out of your tumor. Oh yeah, and I have on very skinny jeans and a nice white blouse with those boots!
Keep the spirits up, Kendra and so good to hear the Dr. thinks it's curable!
