I really feel much better than I thought. I'm not in any pain, I'm just sore. I felt yesterday (the day after surgery) like I did about 2000 sit-ups.
I was hungry when I went in for surgery, but when I came out, the hunger was GONE!!!
So now the diet has changed. They want me to take in at least 2 watered or milked down slim fasts per day. I can have as much broth soup or tomato soup as I want. I can have 2 cups of caffinated coffee or tea per day. I can also drink anything that is non-carbonated.
I really feel great. Tired, but I feel great. I haven't been sleeping well because I wake up every time I turn because I'm scared that I'm going to hurt myself.
But I'm not in ANY pain at all.
And - I lost 24 pounds in my 2 week pre-op diet!!

You did amazing! Speaking from someone who just had the band done; I can honestly say that!
Now, we are in it to "lose" it!

Hi all:
I was banded yesterday too. I discovered that I lost 15 pounds on the liquid diet! I feel great today. My throat is a tiny bit sore, and I feel like I've done too many situps.....other than that, no problems. I'm sipping my morning cofee.
I feel like I'm finally embarking on this great adventure!

It is great to hear you two above are doing well. Like many of us who haven't been banded yet, I am anxious and nervous. We have all heard the horror stories, hearing your stories of doing well really does help. Thank you for that. Oct 9 I will join you and I hope all goes as well for me also.

I'm 2 days out and sore but not unbearably so. I have a package of frozen corn in my shorts! It's honestly better than I thought it would be!

I am getting shed of some gas at last. My total pre-op weight loss was 13 pounds.
