2nd fill: works daytime, but not at night

I just got my 2nd fill and it's working well until late afternoon, smile but it doesn't seem to have any effect toward evening–and that's my hardest time.


Suggestions? Has this happened to you?

Hello Maire, I often find that my band is tighter during the morning up until around 10am for me then it losens up a bit for afternoon and night. Until you have the "sweet spot" of a fill you'll probably have fluctuations in restriction during the day. Unfortunately, the head hunger part doesn't go away and takes practice not to indulge. Perhaps making sure you eat protein first in the afternoon/evening time would help you stay full longer. Good luck

4/12/06 +1.25cc, 8/16/06 +.25cc, 4/25/07 +.50, 4/26/07 -.25, 7/11/07 -1.00 due to reflux issues, 10/24/07 +.75cc, 11/14/07 -.25, 4/23/08 +.65 (total 1.90 or slightly under 2 per md), 8/20/08 only 1cc found in my band -0.25 for .75cc total now in band due to reflux issues again. 11/26/08 +.27 total 1.02 in band and having issues again :(

i had a post something similiar to this. actually, about the exact same. i have the same restriction. but for the life of me right now i cant remember if i started a post or if i posted to one...i know there are a few out there just like this. wheetsin answered my post and also has the same restricition pattern. let me try to find the posts for you....

I had the exact same issue after my second fill too. Good restriction all day but by evening the band felt almost non-existent. My doctor wanted me to wait a few weeks before I got another fill. They suggested I add a high protein late afternoon snack, which did help.

After a few weeks restriction was becoming less during the rest of the day and I finally got another fill. Now I can definately eat more comfortably during the evening but get full very quickly.
