What is "REP POWER"?

I just noticed that on the sidebar of our individual posts...there is a REP POWER with a value next for it. Anyone know what that is? Did I miss something?

Do you see the little scale looking thing below posters names? If you particularly like someone's post, or find it be helpful, you can click on that and add to their reputation and comment why you are doing so.

So, basically the number is a representation of how many people have commented favorably on that particular user.
