Things for going well..........

Thanks for your enthusiastic responses! I have to tell you, I am thrilled! The dr says all is going well. She told me to finish out this week with full liquids and then progress to mushies thereafter. She cautioned that early weight loss is very rapid....mostly because of the liquids. After that, I should ONLY expect 1-2 lbs a week. I was laughing to myself.....I've known myself to gain 2 pounds a day! So, I'll take any weight loss!!!! My next appt....in 4 weeks...will probably be my first fill. Hard to believe!

She also wants me to begin a walking program.....begin with 30 minutes a day for a week, progressing to 1 hour a day within a month. Hopefully, our weather will improve....the rain has been torrential with some very fast moving storms. And,the humidity has been very high. Since we live in an area with a lot of hills, I sat down and figured out a good route to start with the first few weeks. I know me.....I will get discouraged so it's important that I make it do-able. For instance, I don't want to go to a track and walk. That would mean that I'd have to drive to the track, park, walk in a boring place and then drive back home. I'd prefer to walk out the front door, enjoy some nice scenery and explore my neighborhood. And, although I would welcome a walking buddy, I don't want to have to depend on one to get me out of the house. I hope to begin tomorrow. It's raining like crazy right now! I know, I know....I could carry an umbrella!:rain::rain:

Other than that, she told me to plan to return to work in 2-3 weeks. She said to resume driving next week.......hmmmm.....wonder how she thought I got there? Well, that's our little secret....I DROVE!!!! So, all in all, the appt was a good one. To celebrate, I went out and did a little shopping. I bought myself a few walking outfits at Value City. Didn't want to spend much since I'm hoping to blow through sizes! I have to dig out my walking shoes and then I'll be set to go!!!

SO exciting! I know that all of my Crazy Ate friends will be having the same rewards too! Can't wait to share your excitement with you! Nothing like a little weight loss success to make everything seem a little brighter in the world!!!! :):):) Even if it's raining!!!! ;)

This is a great group!!!!
Onward! Judi

Way to go JudiM!!! Do you live in Texas? I'm in the Houston area. Any other Gulf Coast Texans out there?

Dear NanaRenan,
I noticed that you were banded by a Houston doctor. Are you from the Houston area? I will be banded in March or April by a Sugar Land doc. Great job on the weight loss!!!
