This is going to be our plan for the remainder of my training. I am not allowed to do more than a 4 mile run in the canyon without him. Otherwise if I want to run I have to go to the gym where I can have water with me at all times. He said he would write it up in a contract if he needed to and make me sign it since I like to follow rules.
By the time I went to bed last night I had drank around 100 oz of water. When I woke up this morning and peed like crazy I stepped on the scale...it was down 2 pounds. I am hoping that it is because I was still dehydrated. Cause I think if at my official weigh in tomorrow that I am down 2 pounds my DH is going to FREAK out. I promise I have been eating all the food that I need to. I won't change anything for another week though because we know that the body needs to adjust. I thought "if I could have eaten this many calories before being banded then I wouldnt' have needed surgery". Then I reminded myself that I was eating upwards of 3500-7000 calories a day pre-op. Kind of put it in perspective. I guess I did have a good metabolism after all...just couldn't keep up with the fast food, candy bars, DQ trips, doughnuts and MULITPLE helpings at dinner. Funny how we think we have a slow metabolism when we most likely do not. Yet another delusion we had! | Tell my DSIL that he is a good man for taking care of you - I am glad you have such a GREAT man...
Ya I love the slow metabolism excuse Mulitple helpings of dinner- ya that was me But you gotta remember and this is what I forget daily when I worry that the weight won't stay off - is that we have a permanent restriction control - yes that being said we still must eat healthy but we do have some control over our multiple helpings at dinner time Quote:

| I made this really great quiche the other day that tasted just like a mexican casserole. For those that are filled eating 1/6 of it would MORE than fill you up.
3 eggs
1/2 cup FF cheese
1 can of S&W chipotle beans
1/2 pound ground chicken.
Cumin
Garlic Powder
Chili Powder
Cayanne Pepper (for those that like it spicy!)
Brown the chicken in pam until almost done. Dump in the entire can of beans and let them cook down until most of the juice is gone. In a separate bowl mix three eggs with a little water, beat until the are a little thicker than just eggs. Add FF cheese and spices (use what you think you would like in terms of amount...I don't ever measure spices..I give my OCD a break). Add a couple tablespoons of the meat mixture to the eggs to temper them. Add the rest of the meat mixture to the bottom of a pie plate which has been lightly sprayed with PAM. Dump the egg mixture on top and mix just slightly to get the egg mixture all around. Bake at 350 for about 1/2 hour or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
If you have a few spare calories and you can tolerate a tortilla, it makes a great burrito. Janet's comment about burritos reminded me to post this here.

State: Iowa | Good evening ladies. I am checking in for the day. I went gambling for today. We left at 8 am this morning and came home at 5 pm tonight. Don't ask. Not a good day. My GF and I did the same thing yesterday. NOT A GOOD DAY THEN EITHER!! I have decided that I need to quit going because it could very easily become my transfer addiction.
I AM TERRIBLE!!! HAHA Oh well it is over now and I am not going back for a while....quite a while.
I definately have restriction now. I am really struggling to get my calories in. I am supposed to be on liquids for 24 hours and then softs but I start right out with the full liquids. Last night I was trying to drink a Cambells soup at hand (creamy tomato) for the 190 calories and I couldn't even drink 1/4 of it and I was so full. It is 9:30pm here now so I won't be eating any more today and I am at 520 calories. Maybe later I will try to eat a SF pudding but I am in no way hungry. I know I need to really try to get my calories but I have to say this not being hungry is great. I am drinking Pre Made SF Carnation instant breakfast drinks. they have 150 calories in a bottle and 13 grams of protein so I figure as long as I get a couple of those a day plus some food I will be ok. That damn scale had better move!!!!
I have a question though. Since I have started this Zoloft I tell you I am just exhausted. I know they said that could be a side effect but wholey hell how long will this last? BTW my kids and I have been getting along so much better. My daughter actually said to me tonght 'mom you seem so much more calm and human. I think I like you on those happy pills.' You know what? In the past that comment would have irritated me a bit and today I just laughed. I am finding myself able to keep my kool so much better and in check lately. I really wish I would have done this along time ago.
Take care everyone. And sweet dreams. I am on my way to lala land. (sorry Janet for my version of lala)

I pretty much stay away from cheese for the most part - cuz I have never found a ff cheese that melts and taste good.. I will have to try that frittata out.. Quote:

State: Iowa | Janet you are right about having people around you and that making you want to eat. I require that we have 1 meal a day (supper) together at the table. (ok ONE IN AWHILE BUT VERY RARELY we don't). I am not hungry but yet I want to eat just because that is what we are there for at that time. Summer is alot easier for us. We grill most every night and I have just been throwing myself on a chicken breast when they eat brats or burgers or steaks. Of course that isn't happening now because I am not able to really eat but you get the picture. I do think it is harder with a family. I envy the ladies who cook for small children 3 times a day and still have to watch themselves. I have 2 teenagers so mostly just one meal a day and as I said a few days it is a fend for yourself relaxing night.

I AM TERRIBLE!!! HAHA Oh well it is over now and I am not going back for a while....quite a while. Oh jackie I SO know what you are talking about!!! I wish my transfer addiction was "clothes shopping" instead of gambling!!! I will be needing some new clothes eventually, but the money I spend at the casino is running out... I think I am almost thru my 'winnings' of 2008... so time to NOT go back. Plus I am looking forward to spending money when we all go to Mall of America in July for our Band-i-versary...

I really wish I would have done this along time ago. In regards to the Zoloft, I have been taking it for years (1990) as well as Valproic Acid for my Bi-polar depression. For the first month or so you may find you have some 'starting off' symptoms but as your body gets used to the Zoloft they will deminish and dissapear.. My family too LOVES the fact that I take my meds regularily... I was a mess before a proper diagnosis. The only trouble I have now (since banding) is WHEN I take my pills... the Zoloft is no problem because I can always open the capsule and sprinkle it on my food but the Valproic Acid is a HARD pill can't be split and burns like a b@stard when it dissolves in my stomach without food around it... so I have to slightly bend a bandster rule and take tiny sips of water during my evening meal, I have to take my pills between bites of food to avoid the BURNING in my esophogus..
Take care everyone. And sweet dreams. I am on my way to lala land. (sorry Janet for my version of lala) | Quote:
