City: Gretna State: NE | Sorry about yesterday, just had a bad one.
Anyway, I am going in for a fill on Monday. Still afraid that I might get too tight. I am not losing weight, but I am also not exerciseing like I should. I can, at times, eat more than I should, but not all the time. It is mostly at supper time when this happens. I also figured out that what I thought was head hunger at night was real hunger. Every night about 8:30-9:30 I would get hungery, I thought it was head hunger and would try to let it go. Well, I realized that this was about 3 to 3 1/2 hours after dinner, so I was hungery. Still trying to just ignore it.

I need protein! | Yeah, a bowl of creamy soup from Applebees is probably way too many calories and it doesn't sit in the pouch and move out slowly like solid food would.
It's hard to be stern with yourself when so few foods actually go down, but you might want to give solids a try again. Remember small bites and SLOWLY eat.
Good luck! |

| Catching Up Happy New Year Again.
This year I plan to really take one day at a time, and not start another goal until I've sucessfully done one. In setting new goals I completely forgot that Ito get my goals done I must get to work early. I have a 60 min window to get to work without being late. But the later I get to work, the more discouraged I get to go to the gym.
My goal is 2x a week to the gym. Walk 20 - 30 min after lunch and 3x a week after work.
I had a lot of catching up to read to get up to speed with everyone. And as usual I saw myself in everything I read.
I need to log on more so I'm not out of the loop too much.
One topic I want to comment on is eating. Weighing your food is very important, even if you can eyeball it, measuring at time keep you on track. I see my nutritionist once a month, is anyone else? Mine is very helpful in showing me ways to tweat my food intake. As for the protein I do find it hard to get them in, so I take a protein drink more often now. Since I've cut back on the snacks to get them in. The snacks was giving me the protein, but sending my calorie intake out of control.
As for binging, remember what caused us to over eat in the first place, boredom, stress, emotions, cravings, whatever. Find something to replace it and step back. You know you can do. I felt good each time I did 'cause I realized what I was about to do. And felt a victory over it.
Coming here is second to talking to a therapist. Sometimes I want to see one but coming online helps me better.
So Let's Get Those Goals on the way. We have a few more weeks to get our One Year Anniversary Goal. We have not reach our weight goal, but we're pounds less that last year.
WE CAN DO THIS.

City: Kalkaska State: Michigan | Husker....Were you writing a biography of my life and thoughts just then? Do I have a web-cam set up in my house that I don't know about?
That was ME yesterday!
Everything you said.....ditto!
Except the only reason my DH put a load of towels in the wash was because he was probably watching porn on the internet while the kids and I were at church and needed to hide the "evidence"
I know, too much information.
I don't mind reading other peoples rants and raves, sometimes you just need to vent and let it all out...I hear you!
So I did 8 loads of laundry wash, dry fold, put away, washed dishes twice (no dishwasher) cooked a really nice dinner, went grocery shopping, church, helped afterwards, gave the kids a bath, played a game of sorry, read bedtime story, swept floors, vacuumed, and finally at 9:45 sat down. DH still on the computer in the same spot he'd been since 10:15 am (that's what time he woke up!)
What a putz!

City: Gretna State: NE | I forgot to add that I got a fill today. I thought I had 1.3cc but she only pulled out .8. So she filled me to 1.3 again and saw a "blurp" for lack of a better term on the flouro and took out .2. So now I am sitting at 1.1cc and when I got home tonight, 1 cup of blended chili and I am stuffed. I also started my exercise program tonight, I am still sweating.

| Catching UP Meeting my restriction since my fill of .3 on 1/2/08. Eating a little less, but seem to be staying full longer. Had one pack of oatmeal, held me for about 3 real good hours. Then had 3oz of applesauce for AM snack. Didn't feel real hungry, but wanted something to keep from getting there. Had lunch of 1 steamed chicken leg and legumes for lunch. Had PM snack of a lettuce salad with one hard boiled egg and dressing.
Gave up eating 4 didn't types of cheese cake for a birthday dessert party and soda. So proud of myself. Did take some party chips.
Came home and had 5 spring rolls for dinner. I wasn't too hungry, but knew if I waited till later, I'd over eat and it was already after 7:30pm.
I must say, I'm proud of how I handled myself.
Reading the rants and raves, I'm glad to say, I'm Single. I'm victim to Been There, Done That, glad he's gone.
Everyone Have a Great Day and Be Well.

City: Columbus State: OHIO | Whitepants,
You should be proud of yourself! That's a great accomplishment.
I too am trying to eat smarter.
Mrs. H, Way to go with the exercise. What are you doing? |

City: Gretna State: NE | Daily I take a 1 mile walk when I get to work. Then at night I on Mon, Wed, Fri I use my 5% incline treadmill, ab slide and weights for my upper body. On Tue and Thur I alternate the treadmill with my elipical (sp)trainer or stepper and use weight for my lower body. I am starting slow and have a workout sheet that goes for 12 weeks, increasing everything weekly. I hope this will keep me going.

City: Kalkaska State: Michigan | Just bought a neat scale from QVC. It has 1000 pre-programmed foods in the memory and room for more of your own. It weighs food, tells the calories/fat/carbs/sugar/protein etc...Can't wait to get it! Any fun, easy contraption to help the cause!
