Yogurt Smoothie

I found this in the newspaper, I haven't tried it yet.

one cup plain yogurt
one-half cup milk
one tablespoon vanilla whey protein powder
one-half cup frozen unsweetened berries (any kind) or peaches
one-fourth teaspoon Crystal Light mix (any flavor)

Put all of the ingredients in a blender and combine until smooth.

Protein will be 24 grams.

Sounds good! And here's a non-dairy alternative:

about 1 c orange juice
1 banana
handful of frozen strawberries or raspberries (plain, not in syrup)
Optional: protein powder

Throw everything in blender & crank until the berries are ground up. Not exactly low cal, but very filling & good for liquid/mushy phase.

Both sound yummy! And here's the really lazy version:

8 oz. low-fat, skim milk
scoop protein powder
1 sliced fresh banana
frozen fruits (strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc.)
ice cubes (to thicken)

blend well.

By the time I add the fruits, this makes enough for 2 shakes. My husband carries one to work a.m.:)

Even Lazier one

HOODS Carb Countdown Chcolate flavor Dairy beverage. Just pour over ice, it is very thick very filling and has 75%less carbs then milk and 50% more protein then milk. The Original version is a great alternative to milk for those of you who drink milk. It's Atkins approved and found in your dairy case at the grocery store in the milk section, comes in a 1/2 gallon container.I drink it whjen I am one the liquid phase after a fill or when I have a sweet tooth for chocoalte and need a little more protein for the day...Delicious

Thanks, I am going to look for that, especially since I will be on liquids soon.
