Wine?

The fact is I know I get 800 cal a day from wine...three glasses in the evening with dinner, watching TV.

Ok, yes I know its bad, bad, bad.

But how does a lap effect that? Anyone lose a taste for that? Off limits?

Tell me there is hope for me as I consider this surgery! M

I would say most who tolerate wine, before banding, do fine after banding. Being it is a liquid it should go down just fine. However, weight loss is all about calories in and calories out.

800 calories is alot of empty calories. I am not saying to stay totally away. Maybe having (1) glass and switching to something else to drink (hopefully non-caloric). Just my opinion. You should have no problems. Shawn

wine

No problem with wine. In fact, when I am too tight, it does loosen me up a bit. But also stops some pbs for me.

I am really tight at night/when its hot/weather changes, etc. So I do use wine to help through those times.

I drink wine too, I don't have a problem with it. I don't know if I would want to drink 800 calories worth every night though.:biggrin1:

Lots of people lose lots of tastes for things after banding, but wine wasn't one of them for me. I know there have been weeks where my eating has been fine but drinking screwed me up.

Just gotta moderate... :)
