What about meat?

I will be banded on Friday. The surgeon answered a question I had about PBing. He mentioned that "chicken" and bread may be bad choices.

I can eat meat, its one of the easier foods. Chicken too.

But fish is really awful, very sticky and pain inducing.

I am finally on solids... i am almost two weeks postop... I had a 3 ounce piece of ribeye steak last night. I had no problems. Just chew really REALLY well, and take it slow. I had a very small salad with it. No problems

I can eat any red meat. Fish is great too. Chicken seems to be a hit or miss for me most the time and pork- lets just say pork is not a friend of mine, I stay away from that. Just take it slow when your ready and see how you do.

I eat meat and once in a while some bread. You just have to do the experimenting and see what happens. Some days you can't eat something and the next day it goes down fine.

Fish for me is great, steak and chicken breast no longer go down after my last fill.

But I've found an incredible substitute. Chicken thighs boiled...remove the skin and chop the meat into little tiny pieces. Top with a bit of picante sauce and a splash of fat free ranch dressing...yummy! Just like a chicken enchilada without the tortilla (which doesn't go down BTW) :)

Yes, I love a good tri tip. Just make sure you cut the pieces the size of a pencil eraser and chew really well.
