Question watermelon seeds

Hi all, I have a silly question.. I had a fill a week ago.. All is fine.. I know I have good restriction.. but.........
I go to bed at night and I get heartburn or acid reflux or something. .. I start this annoying coughing.. then later on in the night it's like i am choking or something.. Well, last night I woke up 3 different times coughing.. and i knew i had coughed up something.. Hell, I didn't know what it was, i caught it in my hand and started to think, oh my god, what is it.. I ran to the bathroom turned on the light and there it was.. a watermelon seed.. (of course, this is from a seedless watermelon).. anyway, I did this 2 other times.. I thought my stomach was empty, I try to sleep kinda sitting up just to be sure.. Is anyone else having a hard time sleeping.. i don't usually cough up stuff.. . I don't have allergies.. there is no drainage.. so I just don't know.. I keep water by me bed to drink through the night. i didn't think that would hurt in the pouch at night.. Help me.. Other than that, I'm feeling great.. I've lost 65lbs.. so far!!!
Congrats to all of you bansters who are losing right along with me..

Becky What is your fill level?
I'm at 1.1cc's and have not experienced anything lkike that so far. One thing I do before I got to bed about an hour after I eat dinner actually is drink 24 oz of water to make sure nothing is left in my pouch for whenI go to bed, this for me is why I think I have never experienced heartburn or reflux. I was told to do this from other bandsters and it helps. Somebody onnce post about seeds and the band. Check the archives and see if you can locate that post. I was personally never told to not eatseeds. I eat seeds on occassion. I have read that reflux or heartburn is a sign of being filled to much...couldthat be the case for you? When was your last fill and how much?

Congrats on your 65 pounds so far. Keep it up!!

if you can only sip water and you're having reflux at night, it sounds as if you might need a tad 'un'fill. reflux like that, at night, can cause aspiration pneumonia and you sure don't want that.

i would talk to my doc about it.

good luck!

I had reflux for years before I was banded. Unfortunately, sleeping on several pillows doesn't help. It just bends your stomach. We had to elevate our head board about six inches. It sits on stacked lumber blocks. This puts the bed at a slant. Our dogs love it --- easier to get under the bed.
You do sound like you're too tight. But raising your head board might help prevent night time reflux. That is a nasty problem that you don't want.
