Typical Meal Plan for the Day - New Ideas?

What does your typical food diary for one day look like?

My best would be:

Breakfast: Lo-Carb Slimfast and decaf coffee (200 cals)

Snack: Slice of lo-fat cheese and fruit or a 20 gram protein bar (150 - 200 cals)

Lunch: Salad with Romaine Lettuce, Diced meat (2 - 3 ounces) with Southwest Chipolte seasoning sprinkled on top. Dressing of balsamic vinegar and smidge of olive oil and ok--I'll be honest. I sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of raw sugar on top. (200 cals.)

Snack: Another protein bar (looks like candy bar to me and they travel well) or tortilla chips or fritos microwaved with lo-fat cheese sprinkles (200 - 300 cals)

Dinner: Broiled fish (salmon and lemon pepper is fav) with more salad or a veggie-- a starch if I still feel hungry (250 - 350 cals)

My late night snack are my chewable vitamin carmels (2 at 20 cals each)

Hormel chili is 210 cals a cup and Dinty Moore stew is also a great standby. Pretty mushie and seems like comfort food

Would like some new ideas.

Notice I said "best". For some reason I have little appetite for "bad" stuff. My problem is I get really hungry and eat too fast when it is meal time. Snacks have helped a lot. In fact, when I added planned snacks, I started losing again.

This works for me of late:

B: Holy Shredded Wheat, 3/4~1 cup
S: 1 stick mozzerella cheese OR a few bits of Buffalo jerky
L: small salad w/deli meat chopped up; or grilled chicken thigh with diced tomatoes; rarely toasted bacon/tomato sandwich;

S: home made zucchini bread, diabetic recipe....1 slice 3x4x1/2"; OR
1/2 cup holy shredded wheat; OR 1 oz dry Parmezan cheese;

D: 2-4 oz grilled beef OR chicken; artichoke & olive salad; sometimes fish; sometimes shrimp & garden salad; falafil balls 1 or 2;

S: 2-4 oz unsweetened cranberry juice with water; 2 saltine crackers;

sometimes chicken strips--1 or 2; rarely potatos; various deli salads, mushrooms-peas-etc

pretty varied diet, I stay under 1600 cal about 90% of the time

This is what I have had today.

Breakfast: Decaf Coffee
Lunch: Chinese Buffet: hot tea, 2 cups wonton broth, 1 cup hot and sour soup, 1 stuffed mushroom, 2 bites crab wonton, peanuts, (oh yeah and ice cream)
Snack: Coffee, 2 oreo cookies
Early Dinner: 2 1/2 tamales (Hormel) and 1/2 can chili (Wolf) Not brand loyal.

I drink a ton of hot drinks because things hurt. Have been told that I am overfilled, but I think I can still eat alot.

Thanks guys!

I've gotta try toast soon. I've been afraid it would act like bread and stick like crazy.

karen....may I ask, does your doctor allow carbonated drinks with a Lap Band? If so, that is highly unusual. Has it caused you any problems?
