Those with familes to cook for

Hello all,

I am going to be banded in about 9 days and am trying to tie up any loose ends. I was wondering if any of you pre-prepared meals for your families prior to surgery? My hubby will try but really not that great of a cook. What did you make? Ideas would be so helpful.

Pre Opp Meals

How sweet of you to think about that.I have some suggestions.Roast in a bag.
They sell a bag with seasonings you put you roast in a bag with your veg bake in the oven. Even a man cannot screw it up.I do not add my veggies till the roast is almost done. If you have roast left a big old pot of soup. You will not be down but a few days. So I have been told.

Well, if hubby is really dismal as a cook, you could always prepare a few things that re-heat well and freeze them. Then they just have to defrost and re-heat. I reccommend Chili, Soups/Stews - since they are always better the 2nd time around, anyway.
