I am about to start the soft food stage (right before "regular food"). How long are you suppose to boil a soft boiled egg? Hard boiled?
I cannot wait to have eggs...
Any other suggestion for this stage? I have tuna and chicken salad ready to go, lol... cottage cheese....
Anything else?
TIA

Emmy, you're too cute! After the water comes to a full boil, give the egg 3 minutes. You really can't overboil it. Be sure you chew it well. Refried beans w/some melted grated cheese on top is good. Have you tried a search for soft foods or mushy foods? This stage is so good after getting off of liquids!

There's Marie always to the rescue. When I was first married, 36 years ago, I use to pack my dh lunch each day and he loved egg salad, we must a been married 5 years before I found out you make egg salad with boiled eggs, NOT scrambled eggs.
Egg salad (boiled eggs) has been my protein filler, along with my pintos and cheese from Taco Bell, obviously, a cook I'm not. I take a soft taco supreme and dump the inside in with the beans and cheese, soooo good. Since my band, this has been my favorite meal, especially after my fill.
Good Luck

Pat, after 5 years, why change a good thing? You might have been a Martha Stewart in the making and didn't even know it!

Emmy, refired beans are great during the mushy stage...hummus is also good too, avocado is also good with a little salt & pepper. For a sweet tooth try mixing peanut butter with Ricotta cheese, sounds gross but is delicious.

Thank you all! Wed is my week 3 switch over to soft food, I cannot wait. I am going to savour each morsel.
Not sure about the PB and Ricotta, lol.... I am Italian and can't imagine doing that to Ricotta, lolol.

I just started poached eggs last week.....WONDERFUL.....
this week I added well chopped mushrooms, about a spoonful or 2 to a scrambled egg....what a delight! and it really fills me up!!!
I'm gonna try that Ricotta & PB....sounds...no worse than a lot of the mushies I've been trying!

Well I posted this on the fill forum, but I have had a lot of trouble with any kind of eggs since my fill. I have given up on them.
