Question So terribly confused!

I am 8 weeks (give or take) post op- no fill yet- how much should I be eating? I'm not eating nearly as much as I was pre-op, but more than I think I should! Am I stretching out my pouch? How can I know? I was losing weight but have actually gained a couple of pounds back. Is this normal? Am I overreacting? HELP!!

Book chick,

You're doing the hard part now. You've decided, you've paid, you've done it and the band...still hasn't actually started to work.

At eight weeks out, your band should be healed into place. You should be able to eat most anything. There is no reason on earth you should be losing even a pound, because you have no restriction.

You are normal. Not losing during this stage is normal. Gaining back some of the post-op weight loss is normal. Over-reacting during this periosd is textbook normal...which begs the question...so, why no fill?

thank you for setting my mind at ease! Actually, I am scheduled for a fill one week from today! This just makes me all the more anxious to have it done. Thanks again!

Normal, normal, normal, normal. Don't worry!! You're doing great and the fact that you're hungry is a GOOD sign about your gastric health. Patience!! :D
