Protien

How are protein grams calculated. My nurse told me it's protien divided by calories. Does that make sence, Do you just go by what is on the package? Where you all given a formula to calculate protien?

First, I love your name!

I was told that it depends on the protein source and then based off of weight. Like an ounce of meat or fish usually has 7 grams of protein in it. However, eggs, dairy, beans and nuts vary.
