Profect

Hi there, has anyone heard of this stuff? I saw it mentioned on the blog of someone who'd had rny. She said that it contains 25 gr. of protein in a couple ounces. She also said that it really got her off her plateau. It contains a special protein called actinase.
I was wondering if any one here has tried it, and where can it be bought?

Hi,

In Canada you can get it at GNC. I've heard mixed reviews about it. The clerks at GNC say "it's crap" but people on here have used it and like it. It comes pre-mixed in a tube with "juice" of some sort. Can't hurt to try it. :)

I LOVE the stuff!! It has helped me so much, even before I got banded last week. I can't have whey based proteins, yet due to blood sugar issues I must have alot of protein to feel good. This was the perfect answer...25g or protein in about 3 swallows....mixed in a sweet, tropical juice. Just go online and search for Profect.... you should get their website. If you can't find it, let me know and I will find the link and send it to you. It's not cheap, but it sure has helped me especially now that I am post-op. Good luck!

Oranges and the such can be tricky. If you try to stick to the actual flesh and not all the membrane stuff then it will probably go fine. But, I cannot just eat an orange normally because it's almost impossible for me to chew the membrane stuff down. (I know this sounded gross but hopefully you know what I'm trying to say!!!)

Profect

I love profect, I have at least one every day. I even got my husband using it after the gym he takes a shot. I can't stand that artificial protein taste so at least this I can get 25g down in about 2 gulps. They just interduced 4 new flavors that I ordered but haven't gotten yet. To me the only downside is that it contains aspertaime, which I'm not a fan of. I'm unsure if the 4 new flavors also contain aspertaime.
