i knew it was about....just made it a sticky..:)

lauren, i'm not sure you'll need 100% of your protein requirement in the first few wks; i found that i had to gradually work into it. i do mix my shakes w/skim milk - and i HATED milk prior to banding. wasn't much a dairy person to begin with but my tastes have changed.
my choice of shakes are:
champion nutrition pure whey banana scream = 24g protein per scoop + milk
lean muscle milk whey chocolate = 17g protein per scoop + milk

during the post op phase i had issue w/cold drinks, so it took me to 2wks out to enjoy something cold vs warm / rm temperature. during that time, i lived on egg drop soup (good source of protein vs canned soups)....

good luck to ya!!

Some of those recipes sound reallly gooooooood. I can't add the extra stuff to the shakes for preop but during mushies omg that will be amazing and I won't get tired of it. :)

Haha! The Vanilla Cherry one ... I've had this jar of cherries in my fridge for the longest time (hubby bought them) and there is only like 5-6 of them left and I've been telling him to finish them off already but he hasn't so tomorrow morning I'm using them (watch he'll eat them tonight ) ... then the next day I'm making the Butterscotch, then the Strawberry Cheesecake ...

I'm looking forward to trying the liquid ones for preop diet and the ones with other add ins like nuts and fruit for mushies. They all loook so good. Someone took a lonnnnnnnnng time making that list. I looove them for it. And with the website the other person made for all the recipes it's easy to find the ones you want to make.
