Online food journal

I went to Fitday.com to try to journal my food today because the nutritionist said she didn't think I was getting enough calories. Fit day is not easy to use.

Can anyone recommend an easy online food journal.

By what I put into Fitday I only ate about 600 calories today and the nutritionist wants 800 - 1000.

Thanks,

Carla

I second TheDailyPlate.com -- much easier than FitDay, as most foods are in their database.

Thanks!

Thank you both for the dailyplate website. Much easier than fitday.

Yah it is - it's nice to be able to search your foods from VARIOUS different brands on dailyplate and have them there - fitday you have to enter pretty much EVERYTHING. I am a former fitday user and when I found the dailyplate I jumped fitday ship like it was going down.

I use sparkpeople.com so that I can track my exercise, calories, and measurements. You can find lots of good recipes at sparkrecipes.com, I think it is.

One nice feature at sparkrecipe.com you can put in the ingredients using a searchable data base and it will give you the nutrition info per serving. I do that whenever I make meatloaf or whatever.

I use: Calorie Count Plus - Free, Intelligent, Online Dieting

It's good because you can track EVERYTHING to do with your weight loss, and it has the calorie expenditure values for excercise as well as a huge database of foods.

The only frustrating thing is for some items unless you've physically weighed them it's difficult to record how much you had.
