you hit a true nerve on that one!

I cant do beer :( not even a sip. The carbonation is so strong that I have a very hard time with a very small amount.

Ill have an occasional maragarita....
but nothing better then an ice cold beer (especially on a hot day like today). So this one was a struggle for me!

I only ever drank diet soda - not a drop of water. Like everyone said, it was very easy to give it up and I didn't even crave it. I do admit that every now and then, when I am at the beach eating lunch with my sister, I will take a very small sip of her ice cold soda but it I take two sips I am in pain.

I absolutely loved Diet Pepsi! I haven't had one since being banded. I went through withdrawls. I really did. I know it was just the caffeine leaving my body. I was a serious Diet pepsi drinking. Almost four 24oz bottles a day. Hardly ever drank water. I have been drinking water non-stop now. I love water now. My skin is looking better too. It took me two days of withdrawls, I mean headaches and all. I now know what a smoker, drug addict, or alcoholic goes through; addiction is addiction.

I too was a big time Diet coke drinker. Notice I said WAS!!! LOL!! I used to drink about 10 cans a day. I too quit cold turkey in April and have absolutely no desire for them. I would rather see the 53 pounds lost then have my Diet Cokes! If you set your mind to it you can do anything....and the band will help!!
