Cool new foods today nearly week 8

.....and I had a peeled apple for lunch....with no problem....took a long time to chew little bites....WONDERFUL how good an apple tastes....

and dinner was 1/2 a small slice (NOT the usual 'slab') home roasted turkey, some squash, and some broccli flowerettes....not the fibrous stalks cuz I thought they would cause trouble....

now here I sit....SATIATED :banana :banana :banana :banana

the only concern on eating today, was SOMETHING brought my blood glucose up enough I had to take insulin shot....but just 10 units instead of 100!!!

Even my diabetes is eating smaller!!! HAR!!! :lick :ninja :paranoid :paranoid :paranoid

Jack: Have you had a fill yet? I was just wondering if the feeling of being full will wear off for most people before six weeks or if you will continue to feel full after only a small amount? I seem to fill up really easily but I am only a little over 2 weeks after surgery. When I drink a protein shake, I can't drink very much and am feeling full, same with soups so far. I am hoping that feeling stays but just wondered if it is because I am just about 2-1/2 weeks out now??

Cool

I had NO hunger at all for the first 5 weeks...then a moderate amount....I can manage a 10 oz protein shake in about 15-20 minutes IF I don't gulp it....which produces that 'TOO full" sensation....

I can manage a 3/4 cup of yoghurt w/turkey chucks and a LITTLE salad dressing...all pureed...IF I go slowly...I still am most definately NOT hungry most of the time....and while I can drink 1L water in under 20 minutes now, I can NOT eat a whole 1 egg omlette with cheese & bell peppers without going, gues what "slowly"....

it doesn't take much solid to fill me up....but I may have a bit of 'lets tastes THIS'....inbetween....

although at this stage, if I am busy I may not actually remember to hit my meals or snack time....

go for 2nd check up next week....most of the time I'm sure I don't need that first fill....once in a while I think maybe I do....I'll keep everyone posted...

rejoice in your sensations so far, and don't try to oink out....

Lunch RIGHT NOW I had 8 wheat thins (burp!) and a 1/2 cup yoghurt.turkey puree and I'm getting full, may have to leave the rest for latter....

cheers :banana :banana :banana
