Need Dairy-free Liquid Diet due to Allergies

I am allergic to dairy (it causes sneezing, watery eyes, excessive mucous, and occasionally makes me turn beet red) and the only thing that seems to help is pineapple fruit and juice.

My dietician said she will research and see what she can find that is dairy-free and also has high enough protein and low enough carbs to work as a 4-5 weeks of liquid diet. (pre & post-op diet)

Has anyone else been allergic to dairy and had to deal with this already?
My tentative surgery date is June 30 so we have less than a week to figure this out.

Any help would be appreciated!

I believe there are protein powders you can mix with fruit juices ?
Also it does not have the MOST protein in it ,,, i am not sure if there is any dairy in the mix itself. you might try Carnation instant breakfast mix. Anything "Whey" will have dairy in them . So careful with that. Check out "Celiac Forums" for Celiacs disease . They have to stay away from dairy .

Just did a quick search and found these ..
Protein from Rice, Powder, Dairy Free, Vegetarian / Vegan, Hypo Allergenic, Plain - 1 lb. 5 oz.
Go Dairy Free | Beverages - Smoothies & Mixes

If you find a mix you can mix it with Lactose free milk could you not ? Can you drink that ? If you have a whole foods near you they should have tons of info or stuff.
HTH
mindy
PS I just googled " Dairy Free Protein Mix" and came up w/ quite a bit

Have you tried soy milk? I like slender soy and it mixes very well with protein powders

Soy Protein Powder

There are several soy shake mixes and soy protein powders you can try. Since you are in a time-crunch, you can try Geni-Soy Protein Powder. Completely non-dairy and gluten-free.

It's about $9.00 at Walmart. It has no carbs and 25g of protein per serving. You'll want to mix it with a flavorful juice...something like V-8 or V-8 Splash, or mix it into a smoothie.
