If you like sardines, try Kippered snacks loaded with protein I believe almost 20grams.

High Protein Foods

This has most foods I've looked up. The other list has never opened for me. It's a fire wall thing, I think.

I haven't had a chance to read everyone's post, but two sites I have found helpful are listed below.

There are lots of threads concerning hair loss cisco--it is quite common. It ranges from mild, to fairly severe---losing over half your hair.

There are many guesses as to why it happens. One Dr. will say it is not enough protein--others say that has nothing to do with it, it is just from the shock to the body, in regards to the sudden change of diet. Yet others relate it to the anesthesia.

If you are taking a good multivitamin, and keeping your protein up, do not eliminate all the fat from your diet, treat your hair gently, and eventually it will stop, and grow back in.

I suffered from severe loss. My protein intake stayed high, I know for a solid fact that had nothing to do with mine. It lasted until about 11 months out, and quit as suddenly as it seemed to start.

I had some health problems a few months ago, and due to a tumor on my thyroid, my diet once again changed, concerning what I could or could not swallow---I had surgery, and am now dealing with some hair loss again--although not nearly as severe.

If I had an answer for you I would be the hit of LBT----unfortunately, I don't---I just know it will eventually quit and regrow----stressing over it will not help.

Sorry you too had to experience this problem....
Kat

Ok, this is my first time posting a message. i find many of your postings encouraging (pls continue). I (probably like many) felt i didn't need to join a club (such as this one) BUT I proven myself wrong. i had my band done May 31, 07...i've only lost (i'm guessing cause my scale broke) maybe 25-26 lbs. i need help. Any suggestion? Not exercising does not help either.

Here is a recipe I use occasionally, great source of protein and easy.

450 gms trimmed chicken livers
10-15 clives minced garlic (this is definatly as per your taste)
1 medium-large onion
2 tbsp EVOO
salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon and zest

Dry fry the livers till they loose their pinkness and set aside.

Fry 1 tbsp of the oil and the onion until really soft, then add garlic and lemon zest. Let everything cool down a bit (not cold)

I put it all in the food processor, and add lemon juice to liquify. Take small moulds (equally divide mixture into 4) and spray with some pam. Fill the moulds and refridgerate.

I eat this with carrot and cucumber sticks. High protein. Here is calorie counts analysis
