liquid protien??

What is the best source of clear liquid protien? I'm thinking about what to have on hand immediately after surgery. Also the most nutritious for healing (liquids and soft)?

protein

my bariatric dietician gave me a liust of protein supplements. They were the exception to the clear liquids. They told me to go ahead and drink them. I have a chocolate flavored powder I mix with 4 oz. milk twice a day. Ea. serving delivers 20 Gm. protein. It is whey based. I got it at Wal Mart Supercenter. Some approved supplements are egg or soy based.:)

I tried the Atkins Chocolate Royale Shakes...I can choke most of one down but I can't say I like them. However, they were better than the Body for Life ones I tried first. I'm going to check with GNC for some liquid protein stuff someone told me about...

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is an excellent source of protein, but to put it in a protein shake destroys the purpose, simply because of the calories. I see some delicious recipes where people have added peanut butter....and of course it tastes great, but you could eat a meal for the calories in that shake. :)

My doctor had me use Carnation Instant Breakfast, it's not bad tasting, and you can drink it cold or make hot chocolate with it. What is your doctor recommending though? Some doctors have a certain product they want you to use.
