Red face Hiccups after eating?

Does anyone else have hiccups on a regular basis after you have eaten?

No matter what I eat, whether it is yogurt, or broth with instant mashed potatoes in it - I get these really bothersome hiccups.

Yep, or a small burp or two. It's my signal to slow down and stop...finish up, be done with the meal. Some call it the soft stop. Listen to it, lest you go to far and get a hard stop, like bringing up that last bite which was one too many. Oh no!!!

Red face

I also get hiccups and burps not all the time, but most of the time. I have tried to listen to everyone here on the board, that is a signal to stop eating, or slow down. I'm 4 months out and still learning, how do you break years and years of bad habits...one day at a time....

Hiccups means you need to slow down, you are eating too fast.

My doc told me that hiccups mean you are eating too fast and taking in too much air.

hiccups are my sign that I'm done eating. when the pouch is full the diaphragm is agitated, hence the hiccups. listen to your body, it's telling you you are full.

Cool Wow! Thanks to all

Thank you everybody who responded.

I will work on eating slower and finishing up at the first sign of a hiccup.

I also get the hiccups after eating. Took me a little while to figure out this was my sign to stop eating. They only last just a few minutes, I'll take hiccups over the sliming stuck episodes..

I get the hiccups also even if I drink water sometimes. I do take them as a sign to slow down or stop eating or drinking. You are not alone. LOL

Since my recent unfill I do the hiccup thing too!! Thanks for the info now I will know it is time to stop. And burp to me is a good thing. Before I had some of my fill taken out I couldn't burp and it was very uncomfortable.
It is amazing what a little unfill can do. A year later and I am still trying to figure this band out.
