Fruit Issues

Anyone else out there having issues with fruit? Up until my last fill (6th) I was able to eat ALL fruit. Now I am having a really hard time with grapes and bananas. I suppose I could peel the grapes but really it's almost not worth it. I know that some people will have hard times with fruit that has skin but those were my 2 favorite fruits! So is anyone else having problems with fruit?

Re: Fruit Issues

I am fairly restricted and I have trouble also with fruit, especially bananas. I now blend my fruit into a protein smoothy. I usually use frozen fruit. This works for me.

Re: Fruit Issues

Yes. I can't eat applesauce (go figure) and have trouble with some other fruits. Grapes are okay, melons not so good.

I think this will change later as it is still early in the banding process.

Good luck

Re: Fruit Issues

Thank heavens I haven't had fruit issues - I love fruit! Bananas are my current favourite for breakfast, but any berry, or melon are close seconds. Have been known to chow down on grapes recently - no peeling either.

Re: Fruit Issues

Melon, bananas, blueberries, pineapple and strawberries are okay. I just chew really well.

things with a skin..... I have to be really careful like peaches, plums and apples. sometimes I peel them. Citrus fruit like grapefruit and oranges, I have to peel each indivicual section. that pithy stuff gets stuck really easily. But I make the effort. I have a constipation problem since banding, and if I don't eat my fruit, I don't go.... Simple as that.
