Early Diet

My doc recommended the following:
Day 1-5: clear liquid
Day 6-12: add applesauces, cream soups, cottage cheese & yogurt
Day 13-21: add oatmeal, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes.. etc

Sounds like some of you went more solid sooner.

Just curious!

That sounds absolutely perfect. I wish my doc had given me something that simple. I didn't like the post-op diet I was given. I tried so hard but really just wanted some good guidelines. THAT (what you posted) is do-able.

Yeah, some folks go sooner on soft solids but really, do what your doc says. It's about letting your band heal and not eating foods that are hard on your tummy. You'll know what to do. Your band will tell you!

I like your doctor Sherrie. They spelled it out real simple. I'm glad that part is over and then again I'm not. With those stages you see the weight coming off, just keep up your walking.
