Can anyone still eat bagels?

I can eat toast or a toasted English muffin if I go slowly, but I've been afraid to try a bagel because everyone I have talked to with a band has trouble with them. Now I am craving a bagel. Can anyon eat them without a problem? Obviously I'm not going to scarf down a whole one, but a few bites would be wonderful.

NO NO NO more bagels (my favorite)... I tried one a few months ago (2 fills ago) I took all the breading out of the middle even so it was really only the shell and put some cream cheese on it and it got stuck! I felt horrible the rest of the day. I don't think I will be trying that again especially since I have more restriction now. Good luck if you try.

I had a weight watcher one about a month ago no problem... But I don't buy them - I really try and limit my carbs - but a ww one is like 100 or 150 calories with a litte lite cream cheese- I think was a total of 200 calories and I think I only had a half..

But we are all so diff - what I can eat one day - can't eat the next day..

Try it - that's the only way you are going to know for sure.

Nope... can't eat them. I hardly ever PB, but if I eat some bagel, it is GUARANTEED. It is the only real food that I have sworn off..

mmm, bagels

i live on new york city's upper west side, about a block away from h&h bagels -- arguably the best shop in the u.s.! damn, they're good. unfortunately, they're bagels are also huge. up until my last fill (3 months ago), i'd have half a bagel from time to time. was able to eat them without a prob, but i'd be full for for a long, long time. the sensation kinda took the pleasure out of having one.

as a former brunch junkie, possibly being relegated to eating lox and cream cheese without a bagel isn't a tasty idea.

Nope..I too tried a bagel and it did not go well. I was in horrible pain for hours after. It is not even worth it to me anymore. Bread and I just aren't friends anymore.
