I was using thedailyplate.com but I just found myfitnesspal.com, which seems way easier to use and absolutely free! Anyone have any comments on which site is best to track food/exercise??

I've only tried fitday and mydailyplate. I'm still looking for "the BEST one" myself. There sure are a LOT more choices than there used to be!!!

Hi Jack,
I use myfooddiary.com. It's not free. $9 per month. I hate paying but I have found it a lot easier then daily plate. That site overwhelmed me. I don't know if I'll want this long-term, but I love having all my intake tabulated and I can track all day long and get a full report end of day. This is cheaper than all the Hagan Daz I was eating!
And Jack, a favor, please. I just posted a thread in this food/nutrition section as I'm having a bit of stomach trouble. I find that everyone here has either heard of or experienced most things LB, so I'm wondering what your thoughts will be on my post. I would appreciate your ideas. I actually do have a call into the nurse at the surgeon's office, but by time she calls me, it may be solved by the good folk here.
Thanks,
Gwenn

I love fitday.com and I catually bought the software for my computer. I really like that it breaks down my weight loss goals and tells me how many calories I can have each day to meet my goal. I fill in a ton of info and it calculates it all for me.

mine does that as well. I am amazed at what it tells me about my current weight. It says how many calories I can have if I want to maintain my current weight- when you look at it, you can clearly see how much food one had to consume to be that weight. An eye opener. Then it tells me how many calories I still have that day if I want to lose 2 pounds a week. I love it. I know it can't take plateaus into account, but it's a great guide.

I use sparkpeople.com. You can track your weight and your exercise. You can make graphs, if you ever wanted to do that. It has recipes lots of stuff. It's free. It has a recipe calculator at sparkrecipes.com. You can put in the ingredients, and then the number of servings and it gives you the nutrition in formation.

I must say I do like myfitnesspal since I've been using it a couple day. I gave up on thedailyplate. I used sparkpeople for awhile, like the pages, forums and what not, but it could never track my weight right. So I gave up. I'll have to look at fitday... but we may have a winner with myfitnesspal!

I also like that you can customized your tracker with pics (like mine of the AA plane!)

I saw this post and wanted to let you know about another great calorie counting and food recording site called www.fatsecret.com which I have been using for 2 months.
Easy to use and I'm not sure why but it's totally free.
Best luck to you.

Wow, that one seems like it has a LOT of features! I don't know why I feel stress in picking the right one... I just don't want to get in using something for months and then change. I like consistency. I'll have to try out fatsecret too... :) Thanks!
