OK so I have been working my way through a big canister of dutch chocolate protien shake. It was a very tasty one but had a fair number of carbsalong with the protien, but hey it was free. I don't like to eat in the am so I drink my morning meal. I have had another freebee on my shelf from who knows where anymore and I was looking forward to the change in flavor to strawberry. Well today was the day, the chocolate is gone, bring in the berry. OMHECK THAT WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING THING EVER!!!! I tried mixing it according to directions and it was super thick and nasty tasting and then I mixed it thin and it still tasted horrid. It kind of has a sour taste to it. Maybe it's gone bad or maybe it's always been bad. Either way, I ordered some new protien powder and it will get here hopefully within a week and it better be good!

......I like fresh or frozen strawberries....but I have NEVER found anything from jam to ice cream to *you name it* "strawberry" that I could stand....
Don't know what they do to it, the flavor just don't work for me...

I would definetly throw that stuff out.
See if you can find the brand you loved on the internet and find out what other flavors they have and who carries them.
Good Luck!

Well I think my DH and I both agree that it has just plain gone bad. It is well past it's expiration and I have had the runs all afternoon since having just a couple of sips. I ordered some cookies and creme flavored protien mix from bariatric eating. Supposedly they taste test everything they sell and if it isn't good they won't sell it. So I am giving it a go. A friend of mine has some of the cookies and creme from them and LOVES it. Meanwhile I have a whole week of no protien shakes :(. And I agree Jack, most strawberry flavored things are yuck to start with. But I do like strawberry ice cream (haven't had any in like a year but oh well) and I used to love my grandmothers homemade strawberry freezer jam. And a few other things my grandma made with berries, but I'm gonna stop with that whole mind thread before I go crazy and buy something I shouldn't.

Yeah, I've used bariatriceating.com too! I got the sampler pack which was a cool way to test several brands before I had to buy some big old jug of a powder I might hate!

I am a major fan of Unjury. I use the chocolate and drink it every morning. It tastes great and since it is a powder, it doesn't go bad. It's sort of expensive, but it's worth it.

I usually buy vanilla and then add flavor of some kind to it. I get those flavor syrups that coffee shops use and make my own flavors. I use torani, and Davinich both brands come in sugar free, or regular. Also if you have a Gloria jeans or borders near you they both have their own brand of syrup for sale. My favorite place to buy the syrup is cost plus world market, they are everywhere and have a huge selection (including seasonal flavors) I have also found both brands at value city, and Marshall's. Gourmet stores carry some high end brands, and Wal-mart has a limited selection of small bottles in the coffee section. You can also add your own peanut butter, fruit, or Hersey's syrup for flavor (they come in sugar free now too). ~Mandy

Yes it is matrix brand. I do like sweet so that shouldn't be a problem ;) I will definitely try the chocolate sometime soon too. I hear it makes really good hot cocoa. Has anyone tried their mixer bottle?
