Bad breath.....is this an issue post op?

I was just wondering if bad breath is an issue after banding. I was reading one of the posts and they stated that bad breath was common. If so....what do you do about this?

Any input would be much appricaited.

I agree typically lots of pain and pretty much constant vomiting. If there is a lot of vomiting she should have some fluid out pronto.

The bad breath is generally due to ketosis from all the protein we're eating.

I carry mints with me. I used to chew gum but that can cause big issues if you accidentally swallow some.

I haven't tried to give up all carbs so I haven't really had an issue that I have noticed. I am an ex-smoker so I tend to always want that mint flavor :)

If you are constantly vomiting there is a problem that is so not normal. I didnt experience any bad breath after the "geeze I smell like anesthesia" went away.
However I got BO for the first month. I think that was ketosis though. Im fine now.
