Weeping port

Hi chaps and chapess's...

I had my band fitted on the 20th Nov 07, trouble is, I've had an infection in a couple of my incisions. The large one on my belly has cleared up after some antibiotics but the port site is still leaking, not much, but never the less it's bothering me. I've got to go back to see my surgeon on the 8th of jan. Has anyone else had this problem. I might add that It's not painfull just leaky.

Oh one more thing, I've got quite alot of internal bruising (hematoma) that feels like i've got small rugby ball in my stomach, right in the middle from my belly button right up to the sternam.!! Not having much luck am I.!! I've only lost 8lbs and just ate a large bowl of pasta.:help:

Make Sure It Isnt Pus Leaking And Also Keep Checking The Area , If Its Hot Go To See The Doc, Chances Are Where U Were On An Antibiotic Your Probably Ok But It Never Hurts To Have It Looked At

As Far As The Big Old Bumpo Where The Port Is. Have Had Mine Over A Year And Still Have The Bump And Was Told To Expect It For Quit A While. One Occassion I Feel It But Other Than That No Problem

There's nothing wrong with seeking information here but your problems really sound like something you should speak to your doctor about right away. If he blows you off, remember, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Weeping with some wounds can be considered normal, but that open wound is like a welcome mat for infection, plus your other problems should be monitored. Wishing you lots of luck & healing here.
