The video of your procedure...

I'm assuming since there is a camera inside you the surgeons also videotape the procedure. Do you know if they'd give you a copy if you asked? Did anyone ever ask? If so, what did they say? If they say no, I would think the reason they wouldn't would be for insurance purposes.

I don't think they're necessarily video-taped by default. The camera is more so the surgeon can see what's going on than for "souvenirs". :) I think it's surgeon's discretion. I never asked, I didn't care to see it. If you're curious, ask your surgeon. If they don't/won't tape it, ask why. All well within your rights as a patient.

That is a good question. My guess is no, they will not give you a copy of it.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I've actually seen some on YouTube, I just wanted mine as a "souvenir" as the person above you mentioned. Just in case I start to gain weight...BAM put the video in to remind me what I went through.
