My sleep study was more than two years ago so it was already in my medical records that I have sleep apnea. I don't know if your Doc needs the study in it's entirety or just the results or clearance letter. It's important to know if you have a problem for a couple reasons. First it may help you get approved for surgery and secondly they need to be aware during and after surgery in case of any problems. With me they hooked oxygen through my cpap machine to keep my oxygen levels up during sleep (My doc requires an overnight stay following surgery). Even with that, the oxygen alarm woke me once or twice in the night. Just a ddep breath or two and it went away. :notagree
With all that said, if I were you I'd just call and ask what they need/want. It's not going to bother them, it's their job to answer your questions.
