Suggested Reading??

Hello Everyone!
22 days until my banding and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on good books, websites, etc, regarding what to expect, recipes and or any info that would be helpful. I have been to other sites and this one seems very friendly and more helpful than others.

Hi Stacey! There is a ton of information right here on this site. I would also recommend Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies. It covers everything pre-op to post-op and thensome. My surgeon's office recommended Before and After by Susan Maria Leach, but she is a bypass patient and I didn't find it as useful from the band perspective. For motivation, I enjoyed Fighting Weight by Kaliah Ali. Her story is very inspiring and she didn't have the kind of childhood you would expect.

If you go on Amazon.com and put lap band in the search bar at the top, there are several specific books out there for lap bands. There are two that were suggested to me. One is called Lap Band for Life and the other one is called Lap Band Companion. Good Luck!
